Questions and Observations of my 4 Year Old
If you haven’t already seen her 3-Year Old Questions, do check them out (tab at the top). She turned 4 recently and the questions haven’t stopped coming. I’m only going to record the most salient ones here (i.e. the ones I had to really think about how to answer or do some serious searching for information about).
How can Cinderalla wear glass slippers? People don’t wear glass!
How exactly did Voldemort attach himself to the back of Quirrel’s head?
How exactly did Voldemort get his babyish body before Wormtail performed that spell at the end of GOF? I mean, he was vapour… how did he get a body?
Evil can sometimes pretend to be good, but it’s only disguised as good, it’s not really good.
Why does Rowling always have to describe the characters over and over again in all of her books? We already know what they’re like!
Why did Barty Crouch Jr (disguised as Moody) teach his class how to defend themselves against the Unforgivable Curses if he actually wanted to trap Harry for Voldemort? Why did he help Harry to fight instead of teaching him the wrong things and making him weaker?
Why is God known by so many names? Why is He so complicated?
Is God made of atoms?
How was God made?
Who made God?
Did God make Himself?
How could Isildur curse the king of the dead and his people when Isildur was only a man? Where did he get such power from?
What would the Ringwraiths have done if they had successfully captured the Ring? Wouldn’t Angmar have kept it for himself instead of giving it to Sauron? Why should Angmar want to give it to Sauron?
How was someone able to write how God created the world if nobody was there? If God told someone how He did it so they could write it, how did He tell them?
Why does Jesus say “My Father in Heaven” if He is God? I thought Jesus and the Father are one?
How exactly did Jesus rise from the dead?
How exactly did God make everything?
Barty Crouch’s house elf Winky is given the task of guarding/watching over the imperiused Barth Crouch Jr, who attends the Quidditch World Cup concealed under an invisibility cloak. Bethany’s question is: how can Winky know where exactly he is so she can watch over him?
When Harry returns from the graveyard scene with Voldemort through touching the Quidditch Cup, why does the portkey NOT return him to the centre of the maze where they were first transported out but to the centre of the crowd instead?
